TURBO
EXPANDERS
The turbo expanders are one of the main machine units of the air
separation plants. Since the 1960s, our company has been engaging in the
research, development, design and manufacture of the turbo expanders. So
far, there have been thousands of expanders operating in the steel,
petrochemical and other industries.
In
the late 1980s and early 1990s, our company cooperated with Xi¡¯an
Jiaotong University for joint researching and developing the booster turbo
expanders. By importing the physical database, our company has developed
out the design software applicable for many fluids. In order to study the
thermodynamic features and the power matching features at both ends of the
turbo expanders, our company specifically set up a trial-run station to
obtain a large amount of experience data, Which enriched the design
calculation software and improved the design accuracy greatly. In 1995, we
imported a design and machining software package from NREC, USA and also
imported from Boston Digital, USA a 5-axis CNC machining center specially
for machining the 3-dimensioned impellers. With those advanced software,
we could make the performance forecasting and optimization of the
expanders and boosters; we could make analysis on the 3-dimensioned flow
field and design of the 3-dimensioned impellers. Thus, the fully automatic
machining of the impellers could be realized, the design accuracy is
greatly increased which fully ensured the high consistency of the designed
performance and actual operating data. The efficiency of the unit has
approached or even reached the world latest level.
