DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF COMPUTER SOFTWARE
AND INFORMATION ENGINEERING

    Kaifeng Air Separation Group Company Ltd. (KFAS) has made large investment since early 1990’s on CAD application, purchasing several tens of working stations, hundreds of PC as well as peripheral equipment. By using the imported software such as I-DEAS, PRO/E, PDMS, Aspen-plus, NREC, CAMAX, CAESARⅡ etc, the manual drawing is thoroughly ended in KFAS. The higher level applications such as limit element analysis, simulated machining, various department data-share engineering etc. have been realized according to the design, which greatly raise the design quality, optimizing the designing progress. We were awarded “Advanced Unit for CAD Application in China” in 1997 by China National Technology and Electronic Information Transfer Office for our great achievement in CAD application.
   Along with the development of the computer information technology, in 1999, our company signed the contract of research and development subjet with the National 863/CIMS program organization to start up KF-CIMS system.
   The 15 application sub-systems including business, design, process, production, sales, purchasing, storage etc, have been developed, we are approved as “National Advanced Level for CIMS Project Application Sample Engineering”. As supporting sub-system, we have formed 500 information points to cover every functional departments of our company, in the ntranet about three square kilometers there are hundreds of PC to ensure the information share and effective integration of each functional department. Implementing this project, KFAS step up a new platform on its technology and management.
